i-Store Ingest™ is able to directly record media from SDI in most popular broadcast formats, or to use broadcast media files already in the local network as its source content, annotate this content according to the Dublin Core standard set of metadata topics, and can ingest the annotated media in the i-Store Pro database, as soon as the recording is complete, or based on a time schedule.

• Records HD SDI video signals and encodes them in real time in broadcast formats, such as:

• Massive computing power is required if complex formats are selected for multichannel ingest. Complex server operation can be done using server computers and multi-input Decklink boards.
• Ex: 2 x Xeon 2690 V4, 32GB RAM, Decklink Quad 2 can ingest 8 channels in ProRes or DNxHD. 1 x Xeon 2660 V4, 16GB RAM, Decklink Quad 2 can ingest 4 channels ProRes plus 2 channels playout (32bpp)
   

• Captures are time scheduled, remote triggered, or manually started (crash record), via per-channel events or as events for multicam recordings
• Each channel has a default video standard (standard list is like in IStore PRO), and a default encoding format settings
• A channel can Schedule an Event to start recording in (the default or) a particular format, in a particular file name (w/o path and extension), at a given precise time (local computer time), and have a determined (maximum) duration
• A channel can schedule an event to start recording in (the default or) a particular format, in a particular file name, when receiving a particular trigger command
• A scheduled recording event can be instructed to stop upon receiving a particular per-event STOP command and to cancel/drop the result upon receiving another particular per-event ABORT command
• A channel can be instructed to stop ANY recording event upon receiving a particular STOP command
• A channel can be instructed to cancel/drop ANY recording event upon receiving a particular ABORT command
• Split While Ingest: Broadcast recording systems often operate continuously, generating large recording files over extended periods. Managing these enormous single files can be challenging and inefficient for users. With iStore Ingest, ingest operators can manually split recordings or configure the system to automatically split files once they reach a specified duration. iStore Ingest ensures that each segment is frame-accurate, maintaining precise alignment even if recording is stopped and restarted. This feature greatly simplifies file management and improves workflow efficiency
• Edit While Ingest: iStore Ingest supports growing files, allowing editors to start working on the recording immediately after the ingest process begins. Whether using Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, GV Edius, or any compatible editing software, users can access and edit the file while it is still being recorded
