iStore MR can record video and audio signals from Blackmagic Design Decklink cards or from NDI IP streams

Input channels are independent from the Recording channels

• This allows independent video standard/pixel format audio format or frame rate for different recording channels feeding from the same independent Input channel (possible application is to record simultaneously UHD, HD and proxy)
• Frame synchronizer video and audio software modules are built-in. They allow the processing of the signal when frame size/frame rate modification are needed

Selecting complex formats (such as uncompressed, 10-bit, 4K/UHD, or advanced broadcast codecs) for multichannel ingest places a heavy demand on computing resources.

Massive Computing Power Is Needed

• High Data Rates: Advanced video formats produce extremely large amounts of data, particularly with high resolutions (HD, 4K, or 8K) and multiple channels recorded in parallel.
• Codec Complexity: Modern codecs (like H.264 or H.265) and multi-format ingest features require intensive CPU or GPU processing, especially when real-time encoding or transcoding is performed.
• Disk Throughput: High sustained write speeds are needed to capture multiple streams without dropping frames, which means fast SSD or RAID arrays and robust bus architectures.

• Captures are time scheduled, remote triggered, or manually started (crash record), via per-channel events or as events for multicam recordings
• each channel has a default video standard (standard list is like in IStore PRO), and a default encoding format settings
• a channel can schedule an event to start recording in (the default or) a particular format, in a particular file name (w/o path and extension), at a given precise time (local computer time), and have a determined (maximum) duration

• Split While Ingest: Broadcast recording systems often run continuously, producing large files over extended periods. Additionally, users can specify an overlapping duration for segments to create seamless transitions and ensure no frames of the incoming video are missed. Precise alignment is maintained using time code embedded within the recordings. This functionality significantly simplifies file management and enhances overall workflow efficiency
• Edit While Ingest: iStoreMR supports growing files, allowing editors to start working on the recording immediately after the ingest process begins. Whether using Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, GV Edius, or any compatible editing software, users can access and edit the file while it is still being recorded

• Unattended Mode in iStore MR offers seamless continuous loop recording within a dedicated storage space
• It intelligently segments recordings into customizable time intervals €”set by default to one hour €”and names each segment with a date/time stamp for effortless organization and retrieval
• As the storage approaches capacity, the system automatically frees up space by deleting the oldest segments, ensuring uninterrupted recording
