CrawlMaster 1.6.0.0 makes it easier for broadcasters to keep crawl content fresh, relevant, and fully under control, while continuing to integrate seamlessly with LogoMaster and Grafster.
Headline update
With this release, CrawlMaster introduces flexible Time-To-Live (TTL) controls per crawl channel, helping teams automatically remove outdated crawls and keep on-air graphics clean and up to date
Why this matters
- Ensures viewers see only current, relevant messages, reducing the risk of showing expired promos, alerts, or announcements.
- Cuts down on manual cleanup work for operators, freeing time for content and branding instead of housekeeping.
- Helps keep the scheduling database lean over time, which supports smoother operation in busy broadcast environments.
What’s new in CrawlMaster 1.6.0.0
- TTL per crawl channel
Each crawl channel now has its own configurable TTL, with a default value of one hour for newly scheduled messages.
- Automatic cleanup of expired messages
- Messages in the Scheduler list are automatically deleted when they reach their TTL.
- Messages in Incoming Messages that are no longer referenced by the Scheduler and have expired are also removed automatically.
- User-friendly TTL configuration dialog
A new “Configure Time-To-Live…” button in Crawl Channels → Selected Crawl Channel → General opens a dedicated dialog where users can:
- Choose a TTL Type preset: Forever, [Default] 1h, or Custom.
- Set a custom TTL from 30 seconds up to one year, matching the needs of each specific channel or campaign.
Ideal use cases
- Time-limited promos, lower-thirds, tickers, and alerts that must disappear automatically after a campaign or event window
- News, sports, or special event channels where message turnover is high and operators need confidence that old crawls will not reappear unexpectedly
